Jenkin A-lign gets the ultimate accolade
Callum McLennan gives Jenkin A-lign the ultimate accolade a product can get from
a builder. “Would I use it to build my own house? Yes, I sure would!”
Callum, of Auckland building company Citibuild Services Ltd, has been using Jenkin A-lign for the first time. It was specified by the architect for a house Citibuild is building in pricey Devonport, the seaside suburb on Auckland’s North Shore known for its beautiful heritage timber villas.
“When I saw the architect had specified this A-lign product, I was curious, I wanted to know what was
up with it,” Callum says.
“Long, straight, clean lengths with the finger-jointed, treated and double primed weatherboards, pre-cut scribers, and accessories, the finish is excellent.”
Callum and his team have done a lot of work with timber weatherboards, but this was their first
experience with a comprehensive timber weathboard cladding system.
“Once we figured it out, it was just brilliant. Long, straight, clean lengths with the finger-jointed, treated and double primed weatherboards, pre-cut scribers, and accessories, the finish is excellent.”
Having used Jenkin A-lign once, Callum says he will always use it where he can going forward.
“We get set in our ways and don’t try new things, but this is just so easy, it’s a lot quicker and I still get a craftsman finish.”
